Earlier this month this Website exclusively broke out a story detailing how the man Kennedy Mutenyo who has time and again laid down his back for DP’s Nobert Mao’s regime had been relieved off his duties of the Democratic Party (DP) Electoral Commission chairperson.

Now Blazer News Times can exclusively report that he has turned his focus on seeking for a new job of becoming the Resident District Commissioner (RDC) in the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) government.

Insiders in DP confirmed to Blazer News Times that in ensuring that his goal is scored, Mutenyo deployed lobbying tactics with individuals that can certainly help him engage Milly Babalanda the Minister for Presidency which is responsible for recruitment of the RDCs.

According to insiders, Mutenyo has since he lost his job reached out Andy Ndinywa, DP’s representative for Bukedi sub region to help him talk to Babalanda’s close associates to convince her consider his recruitment.

Highly placed sources in the oldest Uganda’s political party told this Website that Mutenyo is a now a frustrated man, that is why he is chasing for the said RDC job at every cost.

In letting his cast nets gain intensity for a greater catch of Museveni’s district representative job according to insiders, Mutenyo has also reached out one of the elders in the party Mzee Muwanga to talk with his big contacts within the party for him.

Lobbying for an RDC job is the reason as to why Mutenyo had publicly announced to vote for NRM’s presidential candidate Gen. Yoweri Tibuhaburwa Kaguta Museveni prior to the January 15, 2026 elections, according to sources, despite the presence of opposition candidates on the ballot running against Museveni.

In justifying his decision, Mutenyo argued in his four-page draft document to the DP members which we have also seen, that the “DP by a resolution of the National Executive Committee (NEC) is not fielding a Presidential candidate (reasons were made clear) and my choice at that level is Yoweri Museveni”.

Mutenyo went ahead to state that “of the 8 Presidential candidates, M7 is the only one promoting the DP manifesto by talking about at least 6 of the 21 Milestones of the DP constitution and they are”.

Mutenyo’s relationship with Siranda according to insiders turned frosty when Mutenyo started to question impunity, un fettered exercise of the authority and fraudulent dealings at the DP secretariat under which millions of the party funds have been siphoned under unclear circumstances.
