Exclusive: Inside NRM Party Big Shots Plan to Remove Minister Nameere From the Masaka District Woman MP Seat.

Controversial state minister for local governments also the Woman Member of Parliament (MP) for Masaka district Justine Nameere is facing removal from her parliamentary seat, after a section of big shots from her own ruling NRM party resolved to push for the same.

Nameere’s parliamentary ejection plan was sealed in the Thursday August 6 Kampala held meeting, attended by a section of NRM party decision influencers.

One of the attendees of the meeting (names withheld), exclusively told Blazer News Times that the planned minister’s ejection is informed by the several legal gaps in her anti election petition.

The petition which was filed before the Kampala High Court by Rose Nalubowa (NUP), triggered by a controversial vote recount that saw her January 15, 2026 election victory overturned by the Masaka Chief Magistrate Abert Asiimwe.

The disputed recount conducted despite the traceability of broken seals for some of the ballot boxes, reportedly produced more votes than were originally cast

The January 15, 2026 EC original result declaration had put Nameere on 20,324 votes,Nalubowa (NUP) 25, 443 votes, Juliet Nakabuye Kakande (DF) 6, 343, while Sauya Nanyonga (Independent) 6,196. 59,499 total votes were cast in Masaka city women race including invalid ballots. However, following the controversial recount, Nameere was allocated 25,502 votes, Nalubowa 23,176 votes, incumbent Kakande 6,136 votes while Nanyonga 5,921. Asiimwe confirmed Nameere the duly elected Masaka district Woman MP under a certificate of vote recount signed by himself.

By contrast, the recount result allocated 60,735 votes to candidates alone, with exception of invalid votes and votes from other polling stations whose ballot boxes found having been tampered with and were set aside by Asiimwe.

Now NRM insiders want to capitalize on these loop wholes to push for her speedy removal from parliament through an ongoing Court process.

It remains un clear whether there will be a political collaboration between the pushers of Nameere’s removal and her political rival and an applicant Nalubowa should it be successfully be determined by Court.

Appearing on NBS TV’s Barometer Talk show on Tuesday 25th, Nameere expressed knowledge of her pro ejection scheme by whom she called self-seeking individuals, although she could not name them.

In her filed election petition, Nalubowa wants Court to declare her the rightful winner and Masaka district Woman MP by cancelling out Nameere’s victory without going back into a by election.
