    Breaking News: Ten People Perish in Bugiri Road Carnage.

    At least 10 people have been confirmed dead in a tragic road accident that occurred at Busowa Town Council along Bugiri–Tororo highway this afternoon.

    This happened when a speeding commuter taxi, reg number UBN 817H, traveling from the Busia–Iganga direction, lost control and rammed into a stationary trailer, reg UA 647BA which had parked on the roadside, leaving to instant deaths.

    The eye witnesses said several passengers died abruptly while, survivors sustained serious injuries.

    It has emerged that the taxi was moving at a terrific speed as its driver tried to overtake but failed and bumped into the trailer head on.

    Police and rescue teams rushed to the scene, and the bodies of the deceased have since been conveyed to a nearby health facility for identification, while the injured have been taken for emergency medical attention.

    Authorities have launched investigations into the cause of the crash.
