File: Head of ONC Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo with President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

On Wednesday 7th   October, the head of the Ugandan state also the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) chairperson Gen. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni held another meeting with embattled head of his Kyambogo headquartered Office of the National Chairperson (ONC) Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo, and instructed her to continue doing the political mobilization work for his office, despite the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) leader’s claims labeling her as an illegal office occupant.

Sources that attended the meeting which was held at the state house exclusively told Blazer News Times that the president ordered Hajjat Namyalo to ignore what he called the background noise referring to the PLU group, by continuing with her work.

Gen. Museveni, Namyalo Wednesday 7th October team meeting was the second in the period of just 8 days following the Tuesday 29th September’s that was triggered by the meteoric withdrawal of her security detail, and claims by the head of the PLU chairman’s office Daud Kabanda that she was illegally occupying the NRM’s ONC.

The dispute that had degenerated into bitter verbal exchanges between several PLU troops and the pro Namyalo original NRM supporters calling themselves; Musevenists, was sparked by an NRM youth group endorsement of Museveni’s return on the ballot come 2031 in Mbale city, which the PLU chiefs since attributed to Namyalo.

Insiders also revealed to this news Website on how the NRM party chairperson and Namyalo’s meeting concluded by Mzee rejuvenating Namyalo’s office funding streams to enable her properly and effectively perform her duties.

By Namyalo insisting that Museveni must run again during the 2031 elections, is being perceived by several PLU chiefs as a saboteur of their ongoing nationwide endorsement campaign of Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba the PLU chairman and the CDF, for presidency come 2031 polls.

The PLU general secretary Twalla Fadil had recently cautioned Namyalo” to desist from what he had called provoking them and confusing Ugandans with un sanctioned, attention seeking, ill-intentioned endorsement stunts”, in the statement posted on his X handle.

“I wish to state categorically that gen.@mkainerugaba, our PLU chairman will be on the ballot come 2031, and that, according to him, the Father of the Nation HE Yoweri Kaguta Museveni Tibuhaburwa will be his chief campaigner,” Reads in part his statement.

The president’s reinforcement of Namyalo’s ONC budget is a clear indication of his support to her renewed political activities according to the insiders who also quoted the NRM party boss, that he was not understanding the current direction by the PLU group.

It came at the backdrop of the president’s 2031 return on the ballot maiden endorsement campaign by the minister for presidency Milly Babirye Babalanda while addressing the district political and technical leaders from Ankole, Kigezi, Kasese, Bunyoro and Tooro sub regions at the National Leadership Institute in Kyankwanzi on Tuesday September 1st, 2026, before meeting a backlash from the PLU supporters.
