Highly placed sources in political circles have exclusively told Blazer News Times that the loquacious Democratic Party (DP) vice president Fred Denis Mukasa Mbidde will soon be unveiled as one of the latest ruling NRM party’s signings the green opposition party, following the time long secret talks between the dual, aimed at easing his defection.

Mbidde’s presaged defection according to the insiders in DP is a culmination of his un dependability, considering that is not being highly trusted within the party leadership ranks.

“He doesn’t have a team inside”, one source told this news Website.

According to reliable sources, Mbidde’s defection to the ruling party will be announced through the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) team, a political pressure group aligned to the NRM party under the leadership of president Yoweri Museveni’s son Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba.

Sources allege that the outspoken politician is being frantically lobbying for an ambassadorial job in case his efforts aimed at getting consideration for a ministerial seat in the next cabinet doesn’t come to fruition.

Insiders also allege that the former DP- Ugandan EALA MP’s defection thought could have been inspired by his current hostility with his party boss Nobert Mao, arising from the sharp differences emerged during the just concluded hotly contested speakership race.

During the said speakership campaign bid, Mbidde had proclaimed his support to the aspiring NRM’s Anita Among, despite his party president public expression of interest into the same, thus sparking sharp divisions.

“His office has no work, it is the president to allocate him work which he doesn’t do at the moment.”

The above according to the insiders is linked to his persistent controversial statements, discrediting the Laroo Pece MP also his party president’s speakership candidature.

Fearing the anticipated consequences according to the sources, exiting the party for a safe haven else where is one of the easiest options for him.
