    Mukono Police Officer Killed in Cold Blood, His Gun Taken.

    Officer in Charge (OC) for Ntaawo police post- Mukono Municipality Emma Bagenda is dead after being gunned down in the cold blood by the suspected criminals.

    This has been confirmed by the police spokesperson Kituuma Rusoke from the police headquarters in Kampala in the news conference.

    Rusoke said that ASP Bagenda was gunned down as he attempted to intercept the motorbike for the way laid criminals in Kiwala village- Mukono on Sunday night, upon receiving information that they had occasioned robbery there.

    He confirmed that Bagenda who died on the spot was in the operation with a police constable whose names remain un disclosed. “Bagenda was fatally shot at and his body taken to the mortuary while the constable was taken to the hospital for further medical attention”

    According to the police, the dual’s response was in unison with other area police officers who tried to put up a fight against the said criminals who were moving on two motorbikes but in vain.

    Rusoke confirmed that Bagenda’s fire arm was taken by the assailants after putting him out of action. He condemned the attack on his fellow police officers, describing the act as criminal.

    The police publicist confirmed that they were pushing the assailants to cause their apprehension. “We hope to bring them to justice once they have been arrested”, He stated.
