Mammoth crowds of believers gathered at Christian Life Church -Makerere Kavule on Wednesday 31 December to mark the end of the year 2025, and usher in the new year 2026.
This 27th National Celebration (NC) year ender prayers were presided over by the Christian Life Church (CLC) lead pastor Jackson Ssenyonga, with his wife Eva Ssenyonga under the theme “2026 the Year of Appointed Time”.
Pastor Ssenyonga used the 27th NC to warn against fake prophets manipulating people into devil worship, urging believers to embrace holiness, truth and holiness.
Ssenyonga also encouraged believers to remain patient and faithful, even when their expectations had not yet been fulfilled.
He urged those who had not received yet what they had prayed for not to lose hope, stressing that God has a reason for every delay.
The CLC lead pastor officially declared 2026 as a Year of Miracles, encouraging believers to intensify prayer and fasting, before he could announce that from January 1 to January 21, 2026, the church will observe prayers, worship and fasting.
Later on, there were fireworks as believers joyfully ushered in the New Year amid praises, ululations and celebrations.
